All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Jordy is one smart boy! In only days he has learned to come when called and is rapidly becoming a rescue favorite dog. He has all the qualities that will make him a wonderful family dog.
He loves people and is hoping for a chance to show the world, and especially you, what a good boy he can be when someone gives him a chance. He was raised in a home with a young boy, so we know he is used to, and likes, children. He is also a good, sturdy dog, who will stand beside you, or walk with you, with absolute loyalty for his whole life.
A SPECIAL NOTE TO YOU FROM HIS CAREGIVER:   Jordy is a great dog who hasn't been spoiled in his life!  He loves to be petted, to go for walks, to be given treats, and to just curl up on his soft doggie bed in the lobby and enjoy being inside.  We don't think he has been allowed inside in his life, so he isn't house trained.  But he is smart and learns quickly.  One of our volunteers fell in love with him and came to walk him whenever he could.  Jordy took direction well and was scheduled for his neuter.  The humane officer describes him as a "little lazy" since he loves to lie around inside the lobby and enjoy the air conditioning on a hot day, but everyone thinks he is a great boy. He seemed so appreciative of everything we did, whether it was speaking kindly, petting him on the head, or giving him his own bed! I was giving out some kibble as treats today, and Jordy stood at my desk, took his turn, and took those tiny pieces very gently.  He was a good boy!
