Miss Dolly needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping her get a new start?

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Personality - a total lovebug clown.  She could not have wiggled her whole body any more when she saw people.  Immediately snuggled up and leaned on me when she met me, same with Mary.  She is vocal when excited but all in happiness.  I love her!  What a total doll.  Has lived with kids and dogs in foster home, cat tested at the shelter but would need introduction in a home setting.  Needs secure yard, as her nose is interested in everything! Sounds like a typical sweet fun loving hound.  Ms. Dolly is a perfect lady.   She gets along with most of the dogs that she has met. This little lady loves people.  She is housebroken, a good eater, loves to go for walks and runs in the field.   She is a perfect girl.

Ms. Dolly is now available for her forever home.   She came to us with a birth defect and out vet said it was totally fixable! There has been a lot of time and money invested in this beautiful girl now.  She is worth every penny to correct her lifelong problem.  She is now free to never have to worry about that again.  Everyone who meets her just loves her.  She is a people dog and just loves to be with them.   Although she will bark when she is first left alone, she will quietly either take a nap or chew on her bone.   She is not destructive, her room is always neat.  You just have to watch out for the happy hound tail, it goes a mile a minute!   She is a very very happy girl.

A little surprise, her recent DNA indicates that Ms. Dolly is a 37%-74% Bloodhound, mixed with 20%-36% Mastiff with about a 10%-20% Bluetick Coonhound.    A gentleman commented that Ms. Dolly was a Bavarian Mountain Hound, which is a possibility since she is the smaller dog than the standard Bloodhound.   A Bavarian Mountain Hound is a German Bloodhound, and since it is a rarer breed would probably not show up as such on a DNA analysis.   I feel based on the DNA results that the chances are that Ms. Dolly is actually a Bavarian Mountain Hound and not a Redbone Coonhound as originally thought.     She is indeed a unique and beautiful girl.
