Please Note: This animal is listed as a courtesy to another organization. Please be sure to contact the foster/caretaker for more information about her.

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Meet Zee - she may look like a cattle dog/herding dog mix, but her DNA test shows she is 50% American Staffordshire Terrier.  Zee is about 4-5 years old and 33 lbs.  Zee is a sweet girl who was surrendered to the shelter when her owners no longer wanted her.  Zee LOVES to go on adventures with her foster mom.  If you are looking for a hiking buddy, look no more:)  Zee does well with meeting other dogs when out on a walk or when they visit her foster home, but she is probably best as an only dog in her forever home so she doesn't have to share the attention.  She is not good with cats.  Zee is fearful of men at first and will "puff" herself up by growling and barking when she meets men, but if you let her have a day or two she will come around.  Zee has come to love her foster dad and human foster brother very much and enjoys cuddling with them on the couch.  Zee has never tried to bite, she just growls and barks to say she isn't comfortable yet. Zee needs her daily exercise, but is happy to chill once she has her walks.  Zee enjoys the outdoors and needs a fenced yard so she can bask in the sun.  Zee Zee is a bit of an alpha girl who is quite smart so she will need a dog savvy owner.  Zee Zee hasn't been around young children so dog savvy kids age 12 years and up would be the best match.  Zee Zee is house trained and has no need to be crated . Zee is not suited to apartment/condo living.  If you want to meet this sweet girl please see the instructions below. The adoption fee for this dog is $350 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter.
The adoption fee for this dog is $350 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter. ***Please note that our first step is submitting an application (it does not commit you in any way but allows us to discuss with you if you and the dog are a good fit).  In addition, an important step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.***
