Please Note: This animal is listed as a courtesy to another organization. Please be sure to contact the foster/caretaker for more information about him.
All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.
NOTE- TREVOR IS LISTED AS A COURTESY FOR ANOTHER RESCUE ORGANIZATION. PLEASE SEE CONTACT INFO BELOW.
Trevor has been with the rescue now for almost 3 years. Why? We are not sure. He has been overlooked so many times and it really surprises us! Trevor came into the rescue, basically on death’s door. He had pneumonia and the most severe case of heartworm we have ever experienced. Trevor has since been treated, saw a Cardiologist and is a happy, healthy boy! He does have some damage to his heart but that doesn’t mean he won’t live a long life. It just means he can’t run a marathon with you!
Trevor is around 6-7 years old and is the most polite boy. He walks wonderfully on a leash and loves to co-pilot in the car. Trevor’s favorite pastimes are napping and cuddling. He LOVES treats and even tap dances in excitement waiting for a treat. He really is a sweet, amazing dog!
Trevor will need to be the only dog in the home and we would prefer he be in a home with older children.
Note from his foster: Trevor has been with me for over two years now. He has changed a lot from the dog that came to my house two years ago, but his fun loving personality has remained. He may not be the next star student in an obedience class, but he makes up for that with the unconditional love he gives and happy go lucky attitude. His life before he was rescued couldn’t have been that great, considering the condition he was in at the time. But he has long forgotten the bad things that happened to him, and looks at each day as a new opportunity for fun, food and love. He always “tap dances” when food or treats are involved. He cuddles as close to you as he possibly can. He gives kisses freely. He’s the best sleep partner, unless he ends up on the blanket and it’s a chilly night.
