Please Note: This animal is listed as a courtesy to another organization. Please be sure to contact the foster/caretaker for more information about him.

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

About Mac

  • Status: Available for Adoption (adoption info)
  • Species: Dog
  • General Color: Black with White
  • Current Size: 60 Pounds
  • Current Age: 2 Years 2 Months (best estimate)

Mac is a 2 year old bluetick coonhound and weighs about 55-60 pounds who came to us from our local shelter. He's a happy, fun guy who loves to run and play and wrestle with the other dogs in his foster home! He is food motivated and ready to learn. He just needs a family who is willing to take him home and teach him the things all good dogs should know! He loves his crate and sleeps quietly through the night. Mac is cute and charming and has a face that will melt your heart!

***Mac's adoption fee is sponsored by one of our generous donors! ***

Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and are scheduling individual adoptions in the Waynesboro, VA area during the pandemic. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
