Precious needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping her get a new start?

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Precious is an amazing dog. Although she has been nearly starved to death by her previous person, she has retained her friendly outlook to people and the world, loving other dogs and even cats. We are putting good groceries into her now, trying to help her get to the weight our veterinarian says she should be. Currently at only 45 lbs., she should be more like 70 lbs. A beautiful girl with a cute, fuzzy face, she is getting a new outlook on life that includes a full bowl of food, fresh water to drink, a soft bed where she can sleep, and, most of all, lots of love. Watching her blossom is a fantastic experience and one you will be able to enjoy, too, as you show her all the sights and sounds of the world she has missed out on so far. She has a sweet natural temperament that has sustained her throughout her ordeal, which was termed by the veterinary staff as "extreme neglect". You will be able to show her how good it feels to have her person pet her. How wonderful it sounds to her to hear "good girl". What an experience it is to play in your backyard. She will stride along next to you on walks, taking in all the interesting things to see and to smell. She will know what it feels like to curl up next to you in the evening , knowing that at last, she is safe and loved. For this, you will receive her whole heart.
