Buster is built like a tank, a very small tank, for sure, but he is a truly stocky guy. Dad was an American bulldog, and it looks like Buster got his body, from his big chest, right down to his wonderful bowed legs. His face seems to take after mom, the Lhasa Apso, so he is a one-of-a kind sort of guy. His temperament is totally sweet, very friendly, and quite playful. We can see him trotting right next to you on walks. He's probably not the right dog for joggers, or cross country runners, but he does love walks. He has been well loved and never mistreated, so he knows a lot about how to give love. Sadly, his person recently passed away and in one day Buster lost his friend and his home. Being the dog that he is, he is all ready to try again. His littermate, who got nearly all of mom's characteristics, is listed on this website as Fuzz, if you want to go see how two dogs in a litter can look completely unrelated. Buster plays well with Fuzz and any other dogs, so no problem when you take him places with you. He will definitely be the center of attention and love every minute of it. This super guy has been completely vetted for you and has all his shots. His bags are packed and he is ready to love you with all his little heart.
A SPECIAL NOTE TO YOU FROM HIS FOSTER: Buster is guaranteed to crawl into your heart and make you smile on a daily basis. He is equal parts cuddly teddy bear and goofy kid. He is happy being with you wherever you are, whether it be outside in the yard, inside watching TV, or going for a Sunday drive. He loves watching what is going on in the neighborhood and happily greets people and dogs who come his way. But if you are looking for a watch dog, Buster is not the one! He will attack anyone who comes in the front door...with kisses! Some of Buster's favorite things are playing with tennis balls, jumping in piles of leaves, and gently tugging on the corner of your dress or coat (reminds me of the old Buster Brown ad!). Buster would love to have a family of his own and does fine with all ages and other dogs. He gets pretty excited when he meets a cat but will calm down if the cat stands its ground. I'm pretty sure he would learn to love a cat in the family if introduced properly.
Oh, one more cute thing about Buster. He doesn't bark unless he wants something. Just one or two barks to let you know. You can't go wrong with this 45 pounds of love and kindness!
