Cocoa needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping her get a new start?

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Nobody would ever say that Cocoa has had it easy in life so far. She was found dumped in a parking lot with her tiny babies. All her puppies died except one, who she has cherished. A kind person took her in to foster and tells us she is an amazing dog. She is very friendly to all people and her tail wags with delight when meeting people. She has been good with other dogs and has a calm, easy going temperament. She is not a high energy "look at me" kind of dog. Seems she was born to be a family dog/house dog/best friend. It just took a few years for it to happen for her. Don't be deceived by her picture, she is really quite small at only #20. She looks like a cattle dog, but she was crossed with something else that was very small. You can see her surviving puppy, Whitman, who is also on our site for adoption, in one of the pictures below. He is not a very big dog, either, and you can see he is much bigger than his mama. We want Cocoa to go to the very best home, where her wonderful qualities will be appreciated and she will be loved as a family member. She deserves it!
