All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Stella is one of those sweet and loving dogs who have had a life of sad trials, although it started out well enough for her. She was chosen by an individual to be a companion and house dog. She learned all about loving her person and was a very good girl. Another dog came into the family and Stella found her life mate. They did everything together. They even slept together. Life was good. And then it wasn't. Stella's person got cancer and was suddenly no longer there. Stella missed her so much, but she still had her doggie friend to console her and some kind people took both of them in. And then, worst of all, her world came crashing down when her life mate died and she was truly alone in the world. She passed into rescue and new surroundings, and was afraid. She was crated and became terrified and would try so hard to get out of the crate that she would bleed. She was passed around from place to place as this gentle dog tried to find her spot in the world. And now she has come to Reach Out Rescue. We have vowed, first, never to crate her, but this is not a problem as she is used to being a good girl and living in a house, and she is well house trained. And, second, we have promised her that we WILL find her a home where she will again be loved, as she so deserves. She likes people, adores other dogs, especially if they like to cuddle, and has shown herself good with children. She is getting used to the loss of her past friends, both human and canine, but there is still a sadness in her eyes because no one has come to take their places. She would be so happy to spend her golden years being petted and giving love back. Think you could arrange that?  If so, come see her and let her know that you are there for her.
