All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Shadow and her friend Shotze were living a perfect life, well loved, getting nice quiet walks, and snuggling down next to their person each evening, truly enjoying their senior years. Then, a disaster! Their person died and left them! Suddenly alone in the world, they were sad and confused. Our rescue couldn't bear to see them like that, so we took them to a foster mom who says they are ideal dog visitors. They are both easy going and loving. She notes "Shadow is incredibly sweet, friendly, and very affectionate. She is also very well behaved . It seems like their previous owner took very good care of them and taught them good manners. Both these girls would make a wonderful companion. Of course, we would love to see Shotze and Shadow go to a home together since that is all they have known. " In a perfect world, it would happen that way. But we will also adopt them individually if necessary, so they can spend their golden years in a real home, finding love again and happy. More than anything, we want them to know a home again. If you love the older dogs, the wise ones, with long experience of how to be the best dog, these girls are going to be perfect for you. The foster also says "They have been great with other dogs and kids and don't seem to mind the kitties. Ready for mellow and sweet? Oh so easy to love? Come meet the girls!
