Mack needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping him get a new start?

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Mack is going to make for you a super great best friend and family dog. He is already well trained. Just think, if he could learn so much so quickly, what YOU will be able to teach him! He is already nicely house trained, crate trained, and enjoys the company of other dogs. He plays well. He really loves to chase cats, so, no cats in his new home, but that seems to be his only vice, and there are SO many good things about Mack. He is loyal, loving, friendly, happy, always ready to do what you want to do. A walk? Yes! Play in the backyard? Wonderful! Hiking? Oh boy! Learning a new trick or behavior? I'm up for it, I love to learn! His "crime" for being turned in? He was no longer a little puppy. He grew into a big, sturdy dog. A REALLY BIG well muscled dog. But we bet he is just YOUR kind of guy. Big, a bit goofy, (he loves to make you laugh), full of life, ready to GO! We have made sure he has all the right stuff, too. He has been thoroughly vetted, has all his shots, has been neutered already for you, and he is even microchipped. What a perfect package! Ready to meet your new buddy?
A SPECIAL NOTE TO YOU FROM HIS FOSTER:

What do you do, if you’re a 110lbs Lab mix and a tiny, 15lbs dog that is a visitor to your yard comes charging at you with a challenging bark? Well, if you’re Mack, you try to defuse the situation by quickly running behind the next bush.

Mack already has the refined manners of a gentleman. He’s not one to throw his weight around. “Mack is so gentle playing tug of war with our other dog! He lets her win most of the time, too!” says his foster. “And no matter how many neighborhood doggies Mack meets, he's just a sweet, sweet playful guy!! He is a fast friend to all he has met! And he likes to share toys.”

This chill & gentle giant loves humans, too. He grew up with an older woman who had to give him up as he kept growing and became a bit too much for her to handle. He’s housetrained, crate trained, and has done well with kids, cats, and the dogs he has met.
