Spanky needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping him get a new start?
All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Our rescue started hearing stories about an amazing dog who had been found with not one, but two broken legs. The amazing part? That while surely in great pain, he was still gentle, sweet, friendly, and oh so grateful for anything that was done for him. But while shelters can feed and house a dog, they can't send them to the best of vet surgeons to fix this kind of injury. How could we not help this wonderful little boy! We had a lot of bake sales to raise the money. And then...we took him carefully to an excellent vet who spent hours putting those legs back together and taking the pain away for this dog. When he woke up from the surgery, no longer in agony, his tail began to wag and he showed us all how much he wanted to live and walk again. He was up and going in no time and, if possible, even more wonderful than before. He is showing us the happy side of his temperament and a personality that just gets better every day. We have heard it over and over now, from everyone who has cared for him or met him..."He's such a sweetheart". We think he deserves the very best of homes where he will be loved and cherished. He will love you all of his life with everything he's got. At only a year old now, that should be many, many years.
