Toby is a sweet and loving fuzzball who has not yet had a fair shake at life. While we don't know his background, it's obvious from the condition he was in when we rescued him that he had not been well cared for. That's why we want the very best for him. No matter what has happened to him in the past, he has remained what he truly is...a wonderful, friendly, exceptionally loving dog. And he is a happy boy! He is thrilled with any attention and will wag his tail for the slightest "gift", like food in his bowl, a soft place to lie down, oh my a walk!, but most of all, a gentle hand petting him and a soft voice telling him he is such a good boy. It's been denied to him for so long that he really treasures any show of caring or love. It's almost like he is saving it up in his heart. He loves all people, has been good with other dogs, and has a splendid, calm personality. He is one of those easy dogs that come into your life to bring smiles. We smiled VERY big when we realized he was house trained! We are putting good food into him to help him gain some weight, brushing his fur to make him look and feel good, and making sure the vet has a thorough look all over him. He will be all ready for you.
