All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Brownie Babe is one of those sweet, shy, small dogs who doesn't like to put herself forward, or in your face. She hopes you will love her for herself. She was rescued from a hoarding situation and is very used to being around many other dogs and cats. She would be most comfortable with another dog in the family to look toward. She loves being around a more confident dog and will watch that dog, so she knows what to do next. "Is that loud dishwasher safe? It won't eat me? OK, I feel better now." She is happy to play with other dogs and reads "dog language" well. If you are hoping for a friend for a current canine, this would be a perfect situation and choice. Brownie Babe is a wonderful loving little girl and is amazed when she gets attention from humans, something she has had very little of in her lifetime. You could give her the gift of love and care. She will repay you with her whole heart.
NOTE  - UPDATE FOR YOU FROM HER FOSTER: Hi I'm Brownie Babe. I've been with my foster family for 13 days. I've learned to walk on a leash and absolutely love it. My anxiety disappears completely when I'm on a walk with my Foster bro, Cheeto. I really need another dog in the house, because I'm learning how dogs live with humans. I watch everything! I like to sit next to my foster family and sleep in their beds. I'm learning to accept affection, especially a nice neck scratch. Crates and enclosed spaces are not my thing. Today I grabbed a toy for the first time. I didn't know what to do so I just held it for a while. My furever family will need to be patient with me because of my anxiety and my being partially potty trained. I'm getting there!

Brownie is going to need a yard with a physical fence.
