All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Neegan is SO funny! He will let out his deep howl around unknown strangers- unless they approach with a treat in hand, then they are an instant friend! He is completely housebroken without a single accident since his arrival. Being in a crate is not his favorite place, but he will happily go in it for treats and meals, and will settle down to sleep in his crate after a few minutes of protest barking. He is shy sometimes, but sweet and loving. Negan is working on basic commands and leash manners, but he has the cutest springy jump and even knows how to sit up on his hind legs to get a better view over baby gates or to scope out what is on counter tops (but he hasn't broken through any gates or counter surfed at all) His favorite toy is his tennis ball, which he will toss around for himself if no one else wants to play at the moment. He gets along well with the resident dog in his foster home, but she is a little alfa and scares him at times, so a home with another mellow dog or no other dogs may make him more comfortable. He had a bad experience with children in his previous home and so a family with older kids or an adult-only family may be best suited for him as well. Negan is looking forward to settling in, showing you how much he likes to play, and making new happy memories with your family!

Additional information from Neegan's foster:  Neegan ignored the cat when tested.  He is really going to need a home where there is a yard with a physical fence.   He loves to run around and play.  Being a hound, he needs a fenced yard to be safe.
