All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Sweet Skye was bred as a lab animal and only knew a cage as her whole world. That cage represented pain and fear. She was rescued after years of torture and went to live in a real home where she was loved and she has learned that people can be good and beds can be soft. She knows now what grass under her feet feels like and how wonderful it is to stretch her legs and run in her yard. Play is at long last something she has discovered. Life was finally going well for Skye. And then her family fell apart. Of course we have stepped in to help her find a new place where she will be loved and cared for. A place once again with a soft bed and a fenced yard where she can safely play. NO CRATES! She is terrified of crates, and for good reason! She has shown herself fine with other dogs, cats, and kids. Her foster says " She needs someone to be attentive to her needs and take her out frequently so she can go to the bathroom like a good girl.  She sleeps a lot but still has lots of energy for the kids. She does not bark or howl surprisingly. I have heard her bark only 3 times." She needs a safe, loving place where her naturally sweet temperament will be valued. Is it possible that you will be her angel?

Note from her foster:  Skye would love to have a home with a doggie friend!  Being a beagle, she is going to need a yard with a physical fence where she can run and play safely.
