All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

A Chiweenie! A perfect sized small girl puppy, ready to learn what you want her to know and in the process learn to love you with all her tiny heart. At only 10 lbs., she is little, and we know she is going to grow, but we have her mama, who is 16 lbs. to go by, so we are guessing that is going to be around her adult size when she is all grown up. Can you see her pattering around in your livingroom, playing with her tiny toys? Finding our how to get up on your lap for snuggle time? If you are hoping for a small friend, Sophie is going to be a great addition to your family.
A SPECIAL NOTE TO YOU FROM HER FOSTER: Sophia is the sweetest puppy ever . She is housetrained. She has done well with all of my dogs and is afraid of my cats LOL!  IF there's anyone that loves a cuddle-bug that is definitely the personality of this little girl. She wants "her" person. She is the best couch cuddlier and at bedtime . I've never ever had a foster dog that cuddles the way she does in our bed. That is definitely my wish for her forever family to allow her to sleep with them. She whimpers when you leave the room and she's not with you. She is playfully timid when you initiate the attention towards her. She is leery about going through doorways and unless she follows another dog I have to go out to pick her up. She does not run away from you but is very submissive in letting you pick her up with instantly rolling on her back for you to do so. She does this "I want your attention but I'll playfully wiggle my butt and move away from you -- but I'll come back to you wanting your attention -- but then I'll playfully wiggle my butt to move back from you" ...this is the cutest thing and finally she rolls on her back for you to pick her up. I would love another dog in the home for this little girl to learn from -- I think that is important in her learning things are ok. She has playfully progressed so well in just a few days with us.  She does not have to be crated. This little girl is the best little girl and well-behaved.

Additional note from her foster:  Sophia will need another dog in the home.  Also, a yard with a physical fence is required.
