All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Life was tough for this sweet boy before rescue. Nobody paid any attention to him and when he hurt his eye, he was not taken to the vet, so he has become blind in that one eye. We, of course, took him straight to the vet, and we have been told that it is not causing him pain or other problems. We are so glad, because a dog this nice should never have to live in misery. He seems quite happy to explore his new surroundings, sniffing away happily and checking out the world with his good eye. He is a grand, sturdy dog who would love an active family. Hiking, camping, the outdoors are what makes his world rock! If you would like a best friend to trot next to you in the woods, Khalil would be first in line.
A note from Khalil's current foster:
"Khalil, now known as Cooper is house trained, sleeps in crate at night, knows basic commands, gets along with small and large dogs, not cat tested. Best with older children, still a jumper. Very active, needs a fenced yard, best if can find someone retired or works at home. Working on leash training. Very sweet, affectionate and loves everyone."
No cats for Cooper, but he would love to have another dog as a playmate!
