Imagine you have always been a good and friendly dog. You have helped your person to hunt, played with their children, always done as you were told. And then you began to age, and could no longer run so fast, so the rabbits now got away. Your hearing was not so great anymore, so you couldn't hear commands called from far away. But your loving heart was still just the same. Then one day your family got a new, younger dog, and you were abandoned on a roadside. You were so confused. Had you done something wrong? You got hungry, and tired and lay down there. At long last some nice people saw you and stopped for you. There was a car ride and then a bowl of food, some clean water, and oh my, a soft place to sleep. You went to a vet, who made sure you were spayed and had all your shots. And then a wonderful foster family took you in to await your forever home. They say you are the greatest dog ever,. Although older, you are wiser, and are extra good at being friendly. They say "Miranda is the sweetest old gal. Very gentle, quiet, and affectionate. She loves other dogs and does really well in a crate.  She's either deaf or mostly deaf. " If you love the older, dogs ability to be happy with slower, happy walks, and lots of curling up at your feet, Miranda is going to be just the right dog for you.  But for a calm and adoring dog, she can't be beat. She will wait for you patiently, because that's what she does.
