All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Hi.  I see you are browsing adoptable dog listings.  My name is Ranger and I am looking for my forever home.  You see, I got off to a rough start.  My owners didn't treat me very well.  They didn't even give me enough food and then they dropped me off at the shelter. even though I was just a puppy.  It turned out for the best because the folks at RORR got me out and put me in a foster home. At first I was very scared and confused.  I walked around snarling and barking.  But my foster folks were very patient and and worked with people at the rescue, and sure enough, I began to trust people again.  Their big dog scared me but I liked their little dog.  I began to play like a puppy again, throwing my ball and tossing my stuffies in the air. I learned to sleep quietly in my crate at night  and perfected my housebreaking skills.  I even learned "sit". It became time to see if I could adjust to another home.  While my foster folks were on vacation, I stayed at another lady's house.  She says I did great.  I played with her dogs, ran around the yard and slept in my crate without a peep.  So now I am ready for a home.  I need to be taught a few manners because I am only a year old.  I worry about my food, so if there is another dog around, I should eat in crate. I could be an only dog or I could live with a female or a laid back male dog.  I am peppy, so I would love to have a kid about 12 or older. But I will be happy snuggling anybody who loves me.

Hopefully, Ranger

From his rescue:  Ranger has a strong desire to 'belong" to his person or family and we want to help him search out just the right homewhere he will be loved forever and ever. If you choose to bring Ranger into your home and heart, you will be always grateful for that decision, as he will show you every day why he's just not a good dog, but a great dog. He is completely house broken!  Crate trained and an all around sweetheart, begging for attention he never received at his previous home.  Can you find space in your heart for Ranger?
