All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Shy Sable,  what a life she has led in two short winters...found lying in a road, broken in body and spirit, the car that hit her didn't even bother to stop. Sweet Sable was simply thrown away by the world. Eventually, she was picked up by kind people and taken to a vet to be euthanized. Placed in a cage to wait, she seemed so sad and sweet, they decided to let her rest in the peace and quiet for a while. Then the vet decided to mend her broken bones...a soft lick on the hands for a thank you. Soon, she was resting more comfortably in her cage, but she was also getting rather fat. Yes, you guessed it, she was expecting. Her little ones were all born dead, they never had a chance, all but one, who she raised with her last ounces of strength. That puppy has found a home, but once again, Sable was left behind. Now we would like to give Sable her chance. Her body is healed, but oh, her spirit has not. She has simply shut down in the depths of sadness. She needs a quiet, loving place to heal her mind, now that her body is knitted back together. Let us show you what the staff at the veterinary hospital says about her:

"she is very shy but doesn't have a mean bone in her body.  she just doesn't know what love is.  she is the type of dog that just thinks everyone is going to hurt her.  she needs a patient, loving foster home to give her some confidence and let her learn the basics on being a family pet.  sable is a super sweet, wonderful dog."
