All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Simon is a good dog looking for his place in the world. He is friendly but reserved and somewht afraid of new situations. His beautiful red full coat is lovely!! He has all the fine aspects of a Golden. His fur is fluffy, and wonderful to run your hands through his thick, warm fur. It's even better when he turns those liquid brown eyes toward you to let you know how GOOD it feels. Our Simon is very, very people oriented. He loves to sit nicely next to you and when he is not near you, he will follow you with his eyes, letting you know that you are the most special person in his whole universe. There is nothing he wants more than to please his person, that would be his golden side, and his loyalty, once given, will be beyond question totally complete. That would be his shepherd side. That loyalty is just legendary! This is a dog who will give you his heart as well as his soul and will love you every day of his life. And speaking of life, this lion look-alike is in the prime of his. Already neutered for you, and with all his shots, all you have to add are hugs and he will be your champion, your protector, and the love of your life. He adores hugs! This sweet, sweet dog would give anything to be all yours.

He is about 5 years old and just a sweetie. Only 61 lbs but a lot of fluff! This boy is very, very special!!!! Do not overlook this sweetheart of a guy! He wants to be near you!!! Simon is rather laidback and a bit nervous in new environments, so we are only considering quiet easygoing homes with some dog experience. No young children. He is very good with other dogs, cats and loves people, but you must allow him time to adjust. He will require an experienced dog home that can read dog body language and will allow Simon to adjust.

CAT TEST: 

I have this outside cat that lives on our property. She's very friendly and dog friendly; in fact she and my Golden are best friends. I crated the cat and took her to the kennel training room; then I brought up Simon. He went over and sniffed her in the crate with happy tail wag and walked away; he was much more interested in my husband than the cat. We let the cat out to walk around; she was not stressed or bothered by Simon, and he had absolutely NO interest in her. Then I held her on my lap and we tried to get Simon over to sniff her or meet her, and he had NO interest whatsoever. We couldn't even get him close enough. So I'd conclude that with proper introduction and time for cats to adjust, he would be fine with cats.
