Colby needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping him get a new start?
All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Oh Yes! What a perfect combination...You get that legendary loyalty from his German shepherd side, and that famous personality from his golden retriever side. Loyal, playful, happy, outgoing...did we say playful? Well, yes, we did, twice, and that's because he loves to play that much! If you have another dog looking for a friend, Colby will be just right. He loves other dogs. Cats? Not so much. Sadly, he will chase them. A new toy! He would just love to attend an obedience class with you so he can learn all the things you want him to know and he promises to be the best dog he has it in him to be. He might even turn out to be the best dog you have ever had! It's in there! Since he plays so hard, we are looking for a family without younger children, but older ones will be fine. He could easily knock a toddler over and he would be so upset. If you have an active lifestyle and want a companion to keep up with you, Colby is your dog. We can see him playinig in your back yard, going for runs or hikes with you, simply sharing his joy for life every day. He will love you like no other. Colby is a dog eager to join your family and prove himself to be a great dog! He is ready, he is waiting, he is panting, he is hoping to be yours!
NOTE FROM HIS FOSTER WHO KNOWS HIM SO WELL; He loves to play with other dogs, and will play ALOT, he has especially enjoyed playing with our 6 month old pup. He loves attention and affection from humans and thinks other playful dogs are just perfect... He knows some commands and is just busy checking things out all the time. He is a really good dog and would make a great new family member to the right home!
