All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

It was the middle of winter and there she was, alone, abandoned, a puppy, and hurt. So hungry we could see every rib, shaking, in pain. We named her Princess Grace, for it is only by the grace of God that we looked out and saw her. A little while longer, and there would have been no puppy to save. Princess Grace is truly the face of abuse, up close and personal. We rushed her to a vet, first wrapping her in blankets to warm her, and what we found was horrific. Battered, and having been attacked by one or more big dogs, she had wounds on her head days old and abscessed. Her ear was torn, her hair was missing all over, she had cherry eyes. She needed a blood transfusion to survive through the night. So young, so sweet, she never complained. Even a seasoned rescue worker weeps to see this kind of destruction on an innocent puppy. When she came home from the vet, she went to a Reach Out Rescue & Resources foster. The first thing she did was find an old sweatshirt that the foster had been using for cleaning. So grateful was she for this pitiful bit of luxury that she curled up on it and went to sleep. We now have her warm, safe, and healing. There is food in her bowl, and loving hands to stroke her tiny body. She takes nothing for granted and is amazed at every small kindness. Such a sweet puppy. We can give her all the essentials, all but the important one...a real family of her own, who will cherish this throw away puppy and never let her know pain and lonliness again. And that is why we are here. Trying to put that last piece of miracle in place. Perhaps as you read this you will realize that you are the one who will make the miracle. You are the one she waits for.
