Czerina needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping her get a new start?

Please Note: This animal is listed as a courtesy to another organization. Please be sure to contact the foster/caretaker for more information about her.

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

A terrible tragedy has happened to Czerina. This beautiful, purebred German shepherd had given her heart and loyalty to her person who picked her out from a litter at a breeder. She was taken home, loved, cherished, and then, the unthinkable happened. Her person, her whole world, suddenly passed away. She still looks for him, waits for him. It is truly heartbreaking. We are hoping this sweet girl will find a new home where she will  once again be cherished and helped to be less anxious. She is in the prime of her life, healthy, and very intelligent. She used to play every day at a nearby dog park with her person, and the people at the dog park are rallying to help her. One good samaritan has taken her in, in order to honor the memory of her friend, but she really yearns for a new person to whom she can look once again with unquestionaing loyalty and love. Here is what her good samaritan says about her:

Czernia is house trained. She was his first and his favorite and got more attention than the other dogs. Right now Czerina is laying on a futon very peacefully and is content when I am near.  She follows me from one room to another and is afraid of being left behind.  We go to the park several times a day and she continues to look for him.  She lays under the bench in  the "bus stop" at the park where he and I would sit and drink our coffee.  When I leave the park to get doggy bags, she gets very nervous and scared.  Once I am back on the other side of the fence, she settles and follows me when she is not looking for him.  Never, never will she take her eyes off me.  Czerina will need someone that can work with her on the anxiety and.........most important will not be left alone for a very long period of time.

EXTRA NOTE: Her friend, Lucky, who was the other dog of the deceased individual, is also listed on this site.
