All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

An adorable purebred schnauzer! Silver recently lost his happy home due to sickness of his person. He likes a quieter home, as his person was an older individual, and he is getting on in years, but he is healthy and still loves his walks.  He looks forward to slower walks these days, with plenty of time to smell the flowers. He still likes to play, but calmer games now. He would love to have a home where he will be once again petted, go for those happy walks again, and he promises to love you back with his whole heart.  Silver is believed to be deaf.   Silver weighs 22 pounds.

Note from foster:  Silver's a playful old guy!  He loves to go for a walk (still pulls a bit on his harness), and gets really excited when we come home.  He's not a barker, he's great with other dogs, fine with cats, and fine with kids.  He's in the slow-motion phase of his life, so he likes a soft, warm blanket, lots of cuddle time, and short bursts of energy / play time!  He's a hoot!!!
