Learn more about the Shetland Sheepdog Sheltie.
Tootie needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping her get a new start?
All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Looking out at the world with hope in her eyes, sweet Tootie searches each day for the person or family who will let her love them with all her shepherd heart. When you give her any kind of affection, she responds with so much gratitude. To pet her, is to own her heart and soul. Yes, she will be that kind of loyal dog. So young, at not even a year old yet, she has her entire life to love you. Good with other dogs, never demanding, always friendly, this easy girl has it in her to be the best dog ever. Her temperament is totally gentle and kind. Her sole purpose in her life is to be by your side and to belong. He beauty is both outside, in her stunning coat, and inside, in her overwhelming desire to please you. Come let her love you!
A SPECIAL MESSAGE FROM HER FOSTER: Working on Housetraining, working on leash (coming along really great), Likes dogs, people, kids, and has no problems with cats. She is a sweet, gentle and loving dog. She loves attention (eats if up) and would be a lap dog in a second if a new owner would let her. Whomever adopts her needs to know that she is a love bug and that that is what they want because she needs that in return.
UPDATE: She does love her people and playing with my dog too. She is starting to play more (think she is feeling better and settling in) and is enjoying bones, toys, etc. Not really a barker unless she is playing with Daisy. . She walks well on a leash, listens well and doesn't pull. She loves belly rubs. She will roll over for you, show her tummy and wait for the rubs. Tootie is very smart, she comes to me when called and knows some basic commands (working on sitting because she gets so excited about treats but coming along well).
