Learn more about the Labrador Retriever.
All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.
About Auggie Boy | |
|
|
Auggie boy is such a wonderful mix of dogs. He gets his super ears from his hound side, his body structure from his lab genes, and for a final touch, his long, long legs and the trademark double dew claws on his hind legs from his Great Pyrenees heritage. All of it combines to make Auggie Boy one special guy. He is ready to love you with all his great heart. But let his foster, who knows him best, tell you all about him...
A SPECIAL NOTE TO YOU FROM HIS FOSTER: Auggie is such a great fellow! He is completely housetrained and will let you know when he wants to go out by giving you a little bark. He has such a wonderful temperament, super friendly, he loves dogs, cats, and kids. He loves to play with stuffed animals and chase balls (although he hasn’t mastered the retrieving part yet). He is very smart and can be trained easily. He has a fabulous temperamant and knows sit and stay already. He takes treats so gently and loves giving kisses. He gets along wonderfully with my dogs and has no issues with the cat. He absolutely adores kids but is big so should only be placed with kids 6 and older. He would probably like another dog friend with him too. Auggie also cannot be crated as he does not like this, but he is trustworthy in the house. I believe Auggie will slip into someone’s life quite easily and comfortably. Auggie will require a fenced in yard.
