Please Note: This animal is listed as a courtesy to another organization. Please be sure to contact the foster/caretaker for more information about her.

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Ava is a most unusual dog. When she came to us, we immediately thought "Pharoah hound", but she is somewhat small for one. In truth, this breed is so rare, most of us have never seen a living Pharoah. A 3000 year old breed, they didn't even appear in this country until the 70's and even today, it is not common to see one, even in dog shows. This breed is known for high intelligence and an eagerness to please. Very affectionate with its family, the Pharoah is also playful. The breed is said to be capable of blushing and smiling! OK, that's for the breed. Ava is extra special as we already know she loves people and is good with other dogs. A smallish girl, she is a perfect size for a family dog. We have helped her along to find her forever family by getting her completely vetted for you. All her shots...even included a microchip! Just be prepared to answer questions about her elegant carriage, graceful movement, and heritage whenever you take her somewhere. She is surely going to draw attention.
