Sasha Shepherd needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping her get a new start?

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Sasha Shepherd may be an older lady, but she is healthy and happy, already family trained! If you love shepherds, but want a girl a bit more laid back, knowing how to love and be loyal, Sasha is your dog. She has been loved and cared for well all her life, but her person has to go to Dubai, Middle East, and Sasha can't go along. He is heartbroken at having to part with his best friend, but wants to make sure she is in the best place before he leaves. Here is what he has to say about her...could she be the right dog for you??...

Sasha
, is our loving spayed, housebroken female GSD. She just turned 9 years old this month (June 8th, 2005). She is about 82lbs as of last checkup and also up-to-date on vaccines and microchipped. She is much lower key and just loves to be around you. She's friendly but independent. She is wonderful with kids and fine with other dogs (she is getting a little older so often just wants her space). She gets a little nervous in the car sometimes, but is overall fine (we've taken her on long trips camping with kids). She loves playing fetch and will give you all her love if you take her out and throw some balls around. She is crate trained and knows basic obedience. Also she is super smart and will learn quickly. She is a little out of practice with the leash but it wouldn't take much time at all to get her back in practice with it.
