Jack is a young dog, sweet and loving, but he has never had anyone who loved him back or took care of him. When his ears began to hurt one day, he tried to tell his people, but they ignored him. Living is constant pain, he developed mange because nobody cared enough to give him a clean, safe place to live. When his entire body was nearly hairless, they took notice, and this once beautiful and still young dog was taken to be killed. Saved at the last moment by a caring person, he was immediately started on treatment for both his ears and the mange. His joy that first day of having food in his bowl and a soft place to lie down was indescribable. His gentle nature was apparent from the first moments his savior had him. He adores people, even though he had never had any reason to do so, is fine with kids, other dogs, even cats. He is an easy going guy. Now the pain in his ears is all gone, his mange is treated, and his golden coat is on its way back. He is ready for a person or family who will return his love. His gratitude for any small thing you do for him is overwhelming. He can't believe his good luck if you even pet him gently. Food, water, a bed, and a toy? Oh my, it must be heaven.
