All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Shelby was born into hunting stock, but doesn't want to hunt! In her world, that meant she was to be discarded. Their loss, your gain. She is such a sweet, loving lady. A calm, quieter dog, not really vocal like her breed. She is going to make an outstanding family dog. Not only is her coloring pretty spectacular, her heart is loving and gentle. Rather than tree a coon, she would like to play in your yard, go for walks, and be petted. No baying in the hunt for this girl, more like cuddling and contentment.

Shelby was adopted into a loving home and has spent the past 4 years being pampered but now her owner is ill and can no longer care for her and she needs a new family to love.

Note from Foster: Shelby is a love bug and thinks she is a lap dog. She will snuggle with you, walk with you, or just lay on her bed and chill. She needs to loose a few pounds and we are working on that but she is a wonderful, beautiful girl. She is completely house trained and is not destructive in the home when you are away.
