Clay needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping him get a new start?

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

So young, so much to live for, so very hungry, Clay was found starving and is now trying to put on some much needed wieght with the help of his caregiver. He is already feeling much better with plenty of food in his bowl and a warm place to rest. His future is looking much brighter. Good groceries will soon have all those ribs covered and will let this boy play like the puppy he really is. We are so happy to have been able to save this boy and are looking forward to finding him a good home where he won't ever have to be cold or hungry again. He would love to go for walks with you, play in your yard, and let you know in every way, every day, how grateful he is. He will love you with all his heart for all of his life. Friendly and good with other dogs. he also loves children.  We are making sure he has all his shots and is ready to go when you are. Wait until you see his tail wag like a propeller whenever he sees someone he thinks might be "his" person or family.
A SPECIAL NOTE TO YOU FROM HIS FOSTER:  Clay is certainly making himself at home. It is hard to get action photos, because is like a bullet! He is learning the commands "sit", "down" to limit jumping, "gentle" with taking treats, and "go potty" for house training. He is also getting used to his crate. He loves playing with toys and with our dogs. He is also going to be a great running buddy for someone. We did a test jog for 1.5 miles and he stayed with me the whole way. I was very impressed. He is going to be a wonderful companion dog!!
