All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Hi Everyone, my name is Lacie!  The vet says I am about a year old and I LOVE to play ball! I was found wandering on a busy expressway, and was rescued by a Good Samaritan who drove me to a RORR volunteer's house, where I am safely being cared for! My looks are deceiving- I am a pretty big girl, about 75 pounds, but it is all pure love!  I will grab my ball and climb up in your lap, or on your couch if you let me! I have not done any damage in my foster home and am completely house broken. Just don't judge me by my bark, which is deep and loud-put it this way, not many unannounced strangers visit us at this foster home! They just don't know that if they did come in the yard, I would grab and ball, and ask them to play, and then shower them with kisses! So far I am good with most dogs, and could care less about the squirrels and ground hogs that drive my foster sister crazy! I do guard my food bowl, but when you have been a stray for while, that's what you do.  My foster mom can take my bowl though- I have never been mean to her! I play with the 9 year old next door, and seem okay around other kids.  I am just waiting to join my family!
UPDATE: Oh my! I just found out that I am expecting! My puppies should be born the first week of October. I will need to be with them for about 8 weeks . I am going to try to be the best mommy! I will be available for adoption the first part of December. BUT, you can come meet me before so I can show you what a good girl I am and I can learn to love you before I come to live with you forever and ever. Life certainly is full of surprises, isn't it? But I'm no surprise. I'm a sweet, loving dog with the legendary loyal heart of a purebred German shepherd. (The vet called me "purebred" like it was something special, hmmmm.)
