Animal Success Stories
We love getting updates from our adopters! This page is a collection of the photos and stories sent to us. As our website restricts us to only one photo and story for each dog, we have created a photo gallery here -

Bandit the Pom

I settled on the name “Slammer” as, well, that is where he spent his time, at the Ohio Correctional Institute, Cell Dog program. Love him, he just met all my dogs, and is right now decompressing from all his changes in the past few months. Thank you to Becki, Libby, Marsha, who made it possible for Slammer to come into my life... he is adjusting with all the poms, and is trying to figure what to make of my Collie! He is already following me around the yard like Velcro and making eye contact with me!

Wee Willie Winkle

Max (formerly known as Wee Willie Winkle) is doing great. We have him on a schedule, and he gets up in the morning and does his business. He still sleeps all night in our king size bed with us. He is very nosy and investigates everywhere. I think he is adjusting to his new home. It took him about a week before he got all his toys out of the basket we had for him, but now they are everywhere, except in the basket, and he plays with them all. He sits with Jim on the recliner arm until I come home and then he lays with me on the sofa. Of course he takes time to play and beat up his toys also. After dinner we walk the entire 2 acres looking for birds and bunnies and I am getting a real work out keeping up with him. All in all he exactly as you thought, the perfect dog for us. It is almost as if we have always had him. He adjusted so quickly to us and loves to be with us all the time - just what we wanted. Thanks for helping Max to rescue Us - we just couldn't be happier. -The Simpsons

Raz

Just dropping a quick update... Benson (formerly known as Raz) is getting along great with his brother, they are starting to bond and really love each other. He is still as rambunctious as ever. We start intermediate training classes with him this coming weekend, he is doing great with training and becoming a very sophisticated boy!! Thanks, The Ferguson's

Dusty

Dusty has found his forever home! Pictured are his new parents, John & Carole Gallis (right) and the Webers (his foster parents).

Isis

Hi Y'All! Uncle Edgar is here from Austria with his camera and I thought you would like to see the latest from the last 10 days. Not only am I happy, I am praised and informed how wonderful I am day in and day out, most of the time it's actually true, except when I find a dead fish near the dock and won't let go till the head comes off while the rest is trespassing on its way into my tummy, like this morning. Here are the pictures! Note how beautiful I am becoming, suddenly two weeks ago my fur began to grow and fluff and shine better than before! Thought you'd like to see me evolve. With love and Sissikisses Sissi
