Animal Success Stories
We love getting updates from our adopters! This page is a collection of the photos and stories sent to us. As our website restricts us to only one photo and story for each dog, we have created a photo gallery here -

Scruffy Dog

Update (3/24/15)-

Update on Super Scruff, now Scruffy.... He is being spoiled and is happy and healthy!

Scruffy and Daisy are doing great. And they do make me laugh every day. They are both in doggy day camp and love it, and everyone at PetSmart really likes them. Getting them in the car is no longer a problem and in fact this week Scruffy jumped in the car by himself while I was straightening the seat cover. (I didn't even know he could jump in the car)! Fenton

Well after just one week, Fenton has settled in, gained a bit of weight and his skin is already showing signs of improvement. He absolutely does not appreciate snow. Well being a little Mexican boy, we completely understand. He's a little skittish on the leash, but doing better. He's so excited about everything, the birds, the wind blowing, cars, the sound of traffic. I'll pick up some training treats and I 'm sure that will help him with focus. His social skills are love love love or barking. I am going to look into obedience school for him so he can be a happy baby. He is such a darling, I can't get over him! Some of his well earned nicknames: Chocolate Kissy Boy, Grasshopper (he jumps soooo high!), Little Chocolate Slinky Boy (when he stretches he gets so long) Thank you so much for him. You and Reach Out Rescue are angels to these darlings. I may look into getting Fenton a playmate down the line a bit, but for now, he's keeping busy with Hannah the cat, his toys and of course, all of hers too!

Enjoy the pics.

Love, Simone

Ready Roscoe

I wanted to send another update on Roscoe (we're calling him Auggie :) short for Augustus because it just seems to fit him especially if you look at pictures of Auggie Doggie cartoon!). He is doing very well and is really settling in; we've seen amazing improvements in the past 2 days with him and just absolutely love him! He and I have been running and walking, both of which he seems to love and does very well. We've managed to teach him down and are working on other commands (and will soon have him signed up for obedience.

He is becoming more and more loving and now Thor has decided he will play with him (he was clearly irritated with his craziness the first few days so he avoided him). The cat has even decided he may be trustworthy (he generally ignores the cat and when he doesn't, he just inspects him and gives kisses). They both slept in the bed with me for a while last night :)

Thank you for any input you have and thank you for placing such a wonderful dog with us! He is fantastic despite his Houdini nature!

Best wishes,

Stefanie
