Quigley
So in a few days it will be one year that Quigley aka Buddy came into my life as a foster.. the day he was handed off in transport the woman said "he is the saddest dog I have ever seen" that was an understatement. He sat in his create for days showing no emotion at all and to top it off he had a huge invisarated wound on his belly that I had to care for. He did not want to be touched or looked at in any way. His spirit was broken. I proceeded to sit by his crate for the next three days in hopes that he would accept me, it worked! Over the next days and weeks he led me into his world one minute at a time. Then came the phone call, someone was interested in adopting him I went into panic mode. Of course I quickly filled out the papers and adopted him myself. One year later he he has filled my life and his brother Coco's life with so much joy not to mention all the other people he comes in contact with. He has a beautiful spirit he has the sweetest soul ever!!!
Today marked a milestone Buddy has started to play with toys something he has never had interest in..... every day with Buddy is a new day. He is one happiest dog and we all love him dearly. Thank you for rescuing him from the shelter and certain death and for bringing us together.
Bullet
First we want to thank you again for choosing us to be Bulletâs forever family! We consider ourselves SO lucky!! He is the greatest dog, so sweet, well behaved and laid back. We went to great lengths working with our trainer to acclimate him with our other dogs and now they all romp and play perfectly. Bullet is SO big, now 91 lbs. at 8 months, our mini-aussies can walk right under him and he can rest his chin on our kitchen table. A real gentle giant, we just love him to pieces!
Hunny
UPDATE: Just thought you would like an update on Hunny -
He is settling in wonderfully and is quite a happy guy. Attached is pic
after his spa day ! Debi
Hunny is settling in just fine. We have decided to call him Harley â keeping with the H and Y but sounding a little more manly! He is so comfortable with his surroundings that it's amazing - he really seems like he has Woodrow ' a spirit within him. He sleeps upstairs in my room and I've even put him on the bed. He jumps off on his own without any difficulty! He also does stairs just fine. He loves to go for walks and stands at the front door when he wants to go for a walk. He also loves looking out the window. My daughter took him and her dog Ditka for a long walk yesterday and he really enjoyed it - kept up with Ditka with no problem.! Britany said she couldn't even tell the age difference between the two! Regarding his pills â yes he is a stinker! We are adding glucosamine tablets and the senior chew daily but it is a struggle to get those pills down. We have tried Ham , cheese, pill pockets, peanut butter, and hotdogs. Each of them work a few times and then he catches onto it and refuses to take them! We are working on it though. We all love him dearly and are very happy to have him. Oh he also met my other daughters friends dog who comes over a lot â Apollo. They got along very well too , and he does well with our cat Mo- The other day Harley was sleeping in his bed and Mo was on the floor right next to him!. I'll continue to keep in touch and send pics he says to say hi. Take care
