Sarah Lea
This little girl is more than just special, we adore her. She spent a lot of years in a hoarder's home with 133 other dogs, then to the shelter where she was matted, stinky, and so sad... she adjusted quickly to her foster and was loving life while she patiently waited... then it happend, the connection was immediate and Sarah Lea knew where she was meant to be!! We love you Sarah Lea and wish you a happy long and loved life!!! RORR
Millie
This is our Miss Millie. We adopted her from "Reach Out Rescue" in January 2012. She came us as a senior and already quite sick. She has spent her time with us as a sweet, gentle little girl. She really had no adjustment period to get used to our family, which told me in her hey day she was probably a fiesty lil thing.
Millie came to us already with tumors and blind as well as other issues. Over the last 2 months we have seen her health really decline. Our vet (thank you Dr. Redmond) would visit our home often as it seemed there was one thing after another. (we kind of knew it was the beginning of the end) Yesterday it was clear she had horrific pain in her hind legs/back and was unable to walk to get up and go potty or eat. She was clearly miserable. It seemed everything was going wrong and she had lost her will to fight.
Last night Miss Millie went home to be with Jesus. It was an indescribable night for us, yet a peace came over me to see her at resting so peacefully.
This morning has been difficult not to find her in her bed. I just had to remind the children (and myself) that she is now playing like a puppy, running, able to see and feeling whole. Its a blessing to know that she was able to shed her old body and live on.
Just wanted to share our amazing "Miss Millie".
Warmly,
Maria Burns

really smooth! better than expected, even ... we're having a great time! she has been helping me with gardening (bringing plants inside for winter), and following me from room to room and up & down stairs. she didn't really know what to do with her downstairs bed but when she needs a timeout she just goes upstairs and gets into her crate for a while. she is smart, a very fast learner, already doing better on the "gently" when taking a treat. and such a flirt! everybody we meet while walking coos over her and says how cute she is, and she gives them a full measure of love, too.
thanks again for taking such good care of my forever pet!
