Animal Success Stories
We love getting updates from our adopters! This page is a collection of the photos and stories sent to us. As our website restricts us to only one photo and story for each dog, we have created a photo gallery here -

Waldo
Waldo

Waldo is doing great. I really enjoyed my time off with him. We've been working on "wait" "bed" "down" as well as "sit" (but he had that one down from you guys :)). He's so smart and learns so quickly. He knows where the door is when he wants to go out and we haven't had a single accident. He loves the back yard and running around out there with Leila and chasing toys as well as birds that come to the birdbath. His favorite toy is that blue jollyball he has with him in the pictures. He and Leila have both done great the past two days when I had to go to work, no messes or anything in the house when I came home. He's been sleeping great at night and loves the dog bed and he and Leila are still switching back and forth between each other's beds some nights. I'll go to bed and everyone is in one place and wake up and they've switched places but whatever seems to work for them - it doesn't matter to me. He is such a joy and I'm so glad I found you and him.

Sweet Molly girl

Molly is GREAT and we love her! She's settling in nicely. She loves her walks - lots of pep to her step for an old gal. She's learning to lie down and keep her distance when we're eating a meal at the table, but she'd rather be underfoot 24/7. We enjoy her affectionate nature, although puppy breath is such an unfortunate part of loving a dog! Molly's not much of a food dog. She eats her breakfast and supper (sometimes doesn't finish her food completely), loves her grain-free cookies, but hasn't taken a single bite out of the cat or the cat's litter box goodies. Not only that, but she shares HER kibbles with the cat without so much as a roll of the eyes! This is amazing to me, especially for a Golden. After my original Golden, Charlie, who ate - LITERALLY - anything he could fit into his mouth, and our sweet (problem child), Golden-mix Rose, who took a chomp out of her humans before figuring out that people are for loving, kibbles are for eating, Molly's dietary discipline is pretty darn impressive.

Layla

Bailey (aka. Layla) is doing well. The animals have settled down, even our skittish cat (Lilly) is calming down. Bailey adores the girls and is always looking for them when they leave the room. We found the same food at our Crunchies here in Crofton and stocked up. Bailey continues to do pretty well with Sit, Stay and Off. We started working on Down last night. We also learned that Bailey can wiggle her big puppy body through the tiny cat door of the kitchen gate (maybe we should have named her Houdini). We're learning and working on things we need to secure, keep off counters, etc. After the girls went to bed last night, Bailey chilled with us in the basement watching TV on the big screen. She was so funny watching the action on the screen. Bailey went to the vet today with Casey and both received a clean bill of health. We stopped at Petsmart for grooming stuff and extra bowls so the dogs can each have their own. Bailey was so well behaved, standing at the door like a greeter while we made her new name tag, with the shoppers stopping to ooh and ah over her. Thanks again for bringing her to us.

Griggs

Griggs has settled in so well, we couldn’t be happier. We have been walking him without the collar after each meal around the yard, within the confines of the fence, and he is now having no issues with depositing on the lawn.  I design and sell electronic security systems and have to deliver equipment to my subcontractors for installation. Griggs comes along for the ride at the end of the day and is quite the social butterfly with my clients. He has seen, first hand, a blue heron that has tried to clear out our pond and a toad near a landscape light last evening. He looks at everything like he is seeing it for the first time. He is making us appreciate everything more. Griggs stares at the washing machine and jumps back, cocking his head to the side, each time it changes cycles. Thought you might appreciate these funny stories and some more photos of he and Sammie. Have a great weekend! Amy

Matti

Matti gained a new friend when she got adopted!
