Animal Success Stories
We love getting updates from our adopters! This page is a collection of the photos and stories sent to us. As our website restricts us to only one photo and story for each dog, we have created a photo gallery here -

Sabrina Shepherd

Sabrina (on the right) is doing great! She is really a funny dog!

Humphrey

Brooks (formerly known as Humphrey) has become a part of our family and has three female cousins to play with. He is blossoming into a family Dog whose main job is taking care of his elderly parents, and is doing a splendid job. We love him very much and feel we are blessed too have been given guardianship of such a magnificent animal. -- Joan & Louis Engle

Bopper - Graduate Dog

We really couldn't have wound up with a more darling dog than Louie (formerly known as Bopper). He has become our squirrel patrol captain for the yard and just shoots right off our deck to try to catch those squirrels. Fortunately, he hasn't caught any but has been really close a few times. He is a very smart dog and we are getting him an agility starter kit for Christmas to see if he'll take to it. I'm busy reading about it in the meantime. We were so fortunate to adopt Louie and he has added a lot of love and silliness to our home! -- John & Nancy B.

Tippy

The girls did very well last night. They slept until 6:30 (as you said) and needed to go outside. Tippy still seems quite nervous. I'm hoping she will adjust after another day or so. The boys had them outside for a long time playing this morning already. They are actually napping now. I guess they are pooped. We worked with them this morning with Kitty. Tippy wasn't interested in her at all. We have to do a little training with the stairs with Tippy too. They are doing great. Tippy tends to stay with my husband and youngest son. They have done great with pottie training and they both sit and stay now. Tippy just plays - she doesn't want to give the toy back. We did introduce them to the Bessie (my goat). The puppies weren't interested in her at all and she is really scared of them. Both puppies wanted to chase the rooster around, so we had to put a stop to that. We were scared they would injure him. They are getting big. -- Melanie Duvall

Cindy

She is adjusting fine. She even goes into her crate to lay down while I am in the room with her. I leave the door open and she takes herself in to lay down. She does not care to be in the crate when we are not in the room with her, but that will come with time. She is venturing further into the yard without me at her side, and is getting along well with Mollie. Thank you for the harness! We did a couple of laps around the dining room table with the harness on this morning. I want to introduce it slowly so that she has time to get used to it and does not look at it as a bad thing. I would not say that she is a fan, but did well considering. She is eating well, go figure, and understands what it means when Mollie rings the "hurry up" bells on the back door. - Gus & Suzanne Morrison
