Scarletta needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping her get a new start?

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Greetings and welcome to my webpage. My name is Scarletta and I am a quiet and reserved lady.  I would be happy for someone to take me on walks and rub my head and feed me nice little treats-everyday! I am very easy to care for, and I am content to run outside for a few minutes and come right back in. I will guard your house by barking when someone new enters, but as long as you are fine with it, I will immediately settle down.  I just want us to be safe!  Cats are very interesting to me- I will chase them a little bit, so maybe to be safe, I need a home without them.

I have never climbed on furniture, but I do like to lie against the couch.  It makes me feel safe with all of the changes in my life lately. My last owner passed away, and both my brother Rhett and I are a bit confused as to exactly what happened to us. I will give you lots of licks every morning, and will be so thankful if you would consider me as your next pet.
A SPECIAL NOTE TO YOU FROM HER FOSTER: Scarletta is a very quiet, a little nervous. She is a very well behaved dog, great in the car without a crate. Will lay down on the seat and go to sleep. She is also good in a crate for the night.  Very well behaved on a leash, does not seem to be bothered by other animals.  She has no health issues that I am aware of. Scarlett is a love bug but she does take time to warm up.  She is housebroken, does not chew up things and is so soft.     She gives you the impression on first meeting her that she is afraid because she will growl.  But, when you are there with her she just loves to be petted and be beside you.
HISTORY: Rhett and Scarlett came from a family whose mother had passed away and were considered a pair.  It has been recommended that Rhett and Scarlett be separated. Scarlett is taking the separation well and continues to go through her daily routines. Scarlett does have some food and toy guarding, so she needs to go to a home with no other animals, and no children-just as a precaution.  She is a sweet girl and just wants a very quiet adult home to live her senior years. Do you have a quiet home and time to give this girl what she needs? See her being happy again and being a wonderful furry friend.

NOTE: Scarlett guards her toys and food from other animals, so it will be best for her to be an only pet. She is a beautiful girl and just wants someone to love her.
